Kev Kutina founded Kevcon, Inc. in October 1988 while he was still a lieutenant on active duty in the United States Marine Corps. The company’s first federal project was completed that same year. The project, awarded by the Navy, involved constructing offices in the warehouse for the 1st Amphibian Tractor Battalion (AMTRAC) HQ at Camp Pendleton. Since then, Kevcon, Inc. has become one of the nation’s top Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), and our work has expanded from Southern California to include government projects in Arizona, Florida, Hawaii, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, and Washington. With a bonding capacity of over $25 million, Kevcon is one of the few stand-alone SDVOSB’s without the need to be affiliated with other firms for bonding, operating capital or management staff.
